The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection(IBPS) has recently released the IBPS RRB Notification and increased the vacancies to 9075 from 8060 to fill the vacancies of a total of 43 Participating Regional Rural Banks. Those aspiring to take the IBPS RRB exam this year must be aware of the eligibility requirements stated in the official notification. To be eligible for the IBPS RRB 2023 Exam, a candidate must meet the following qualifying requirements:
Nationality
The candidate appearing for the IBPS RRB exam should fall into one of the following categories:
- Citizen of India
- The subject of Nepal or Bhutan
- Tibetan refugees settled in India
- Migrated individuals from Burma, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, East African countries of Uganda, Kenya, The United Republic of Tanzania, Ethiopia, Zaire, Zambia, Malawi, and Vietnam with the intention of settling in India.
Age Limit
The age criteria for different roles under the IBPS RRB exam are as follows:
- Scale I Officer: 18 years to 30 years
- Scale II Officer: 21 years to 32 years
- Scale III Officer: 21 years to 40 years
- Office Assistant (Multipurpose): 18 years to 28 years

IBPS RRB 2023 Notification: Prelims Exam Pattern For Clerk & PO |
There will be no interview process for selecting candidates for the post of Office Assistant. Selection will be based solely on the marks obtained by the candidate in the Mains Examination. The test will be objective in nature, and for every incorrect response marked by the candidate, there will be a penalty of 0.25 marks.
