CHAIRMAN:

Okay, so you are a doctor. I am giving you a case. A 6-month-old baby lying on a bed. Her mother picks her up and she starts crying. But if she puts her again on the bed she is fine. What is your diagnosis?
Me: Hmm… Maybe meningitis. Neck rigidity may be there. And a change in posture may lead to pain/resistance, and that may be the reason.

ROUND 2

CHAIRMAN:Adds more info to the case: she doesn’t have any other clinical signs like rigidity or fever. She is apparently looking normal. Completely fine. Now?
Me: Hmm… pause for a few seconds …and politely said…I am not able to decipher it at the moment, mam.

CHAIRMAN:Gave the answer [Pseudoparalysis or something like this] and then hands over to Member 1.

MEMBER 1:Questions on budget, especially black money provisions.

Me: Replied.

MEMBER 1:Do you pay taxes?
Me: Yes.

MEMBER 1:Tell me about the tax slabs.
Me: Told.

MEMBER 1:Asked about basic structure doctrine. And probed further into it the fundamental rights and basic structure.
Me: Told.

MEMBER 2:Mostly the health issues. Suppose you are in charge of the health domain. What would be your top priorities?
Me: Explained in detail.

MEMBER 2:Shortage of doctors in rural areas. Why? And solutions?
Me: Elaborated. He cross-questioned me on my solutions. Then was looking satisfied afterward.

MEMBER 2:Questions on startup India.
Me: Told the importance and relevance in present times.

MEMBER 2:Provisions of Startup India.
Me: Told. [Entry-Funding/Mentoring-Exit]

MEMBER 2:Asked about funding provisions.
Me: Told.

MEMBER 3:Started with Swachh Bharat.
Me: It’s not just about aesthetics or outer beauty, but it has strong linkages with better health outcomes. Explained the sanitation issues [open defecation].
