Your UPI (Unified Payments Interface) PIN is an essential security measure for authorizing transactions within the PhonePe app. If you’ve forgotten your PIN or want to change it for better security, here’s a quick and easy guide to do so.

  • Ensure your mobile number is active to receive the OTP.
  • Remember your new UPI PIN for future transactions.
  • Never share your UPI PIN or OTP with anyone.

Steps to Change Your UPI PIN in PhonePe

  1. Launch the PhonePe app on your smartphone.
  2. Tap on your profile picture in the top-left corner of the home screen.
  3. In the profile section, find and tap on the “Bank Accounts” option.
  4. Select the bank account for which you want to change the UPI PIN.
  5. You’ll see a “Reset” or “Change” option next to the “UPI PIN” section. Tap on it.
  6. Enter the last 6 digits of your debit/ATM card linked to the bank account and its expiry date.
  7. An OTP (One-Time Password) will be sent to your registered mobile number. Enter this OTP.
  8. Enter your desired new UPI PIN (usually 4 or 6 digits) and re-enter it to confirm.

Additional Tips

  • Change your UPI PIN regularly for enhanced security.
  • Avoid using easily guessable PINs like your birthdate or consecutive numbers.
  • If you suspect your UPI PIN has been compromised, change it immediately and report the incident to PhonePe customer support.

That’s it! You’ve successfully changed your UPI PIN in PhonePe.
