Amazon Pay Later is a convenient way to make purchases on Amazon using EMI or pay next month. Activating it requires a one-time registration process. Here’s a step-by-step guide to get you started:

Eligibility to Activate Amazon Pay Later

  • An Amazon.in account with a verified mobile number.
  • Age 21 or above.
  • Valid PAN card and address proof (Driving license, Voter ID, Aadhaar, Utility Bill).
  • Bank account with one of Amazon’s partner banks.

Steps to Activate Amazon Pay Later

Step 1: Download the Amazon App or visit the Amazon.in website on your desktop browser.

Step 2: Look for the Amazon Pay Later option within the app or website.

Method 1

Method 2

  • Launch the Amazon app.
  • On the home screen, locate the Amazon Pay section.
  • Click on the Amazon Pay icon. This will likely redirect you to the Amazon Pay dashboard.
  • You’ll typically find three main options within the dashboard: Amazon Pay UPI, Amazon Pay Balance, and Amazon Pay Later.
  • Select Amazon Pay Later.
  • Open the Amazon app.
  • Tap on the search bar at the top of the screen and Search for Amazon Pay Later.
  • Then click Amazon Pay Later

Step 3: Begin Registration: Click on “Get Started” or “Activate Amazon Pay Later“.

Step 4: Complete KYC: There are three ways to complete KYC (Know Your Customer) depending on your past dealings with Amazon or the lending partners:

  • Existing KYC: If you’ve already completed physical KYC for your Amazon Pay Wallet, it might be reusable (check the app for details).
  • OTP-Based: This method involves entering your PAN details and Aadhaar number to receive an OTP for verification.
  • Existing Customer with Lending Partner: If you’ve completed KYC with one of Amazon’s lending partners (axio or IDFC FIRST Bank) in the past, you might be able to use those details.

Step 5: Once your KYC is complete, your approved Amazon Pay Later limit will be displayed along with the loan agreement. Carefully review the agreement and accept it to finalize registration.

Additional Information:

  • PAN Card Mandatory: A PAN card is required for KYC verification. Registration is a one-time process, and you only need to provide your PAN details once.
  • Data Security: Amazon and their lending partners follow strict data security standards to ensure the safety of your information.
  • Limited Availability: Amazon Pay Later is not available to all users yet. You can check your eligibility within the app using the “Free credit score check” feature.
  • Troubleshooting Registration Issues: Reasons for registration rejection include not accepting the agreement, failing KYC verification, or not meeting eligibility criteria. The app should notify you of the reason and provide options to rectify it.
