There were total 5 rounds:

  1. Unberry | Gamified assessment

  3. Cultural discussion
  4. Final management round

First Round: Gamify Assessment (Platform: Unberry)

Unberry is a series of 11 mini-games and challenges that typically takes 45 minutes to complete. Each game takes roughly 4-7 minutes.

  1. Move Boxes: You have to move boxes to the position specified. You can find this game on Play Store as Sokoban Collection. It was absolutely the same as in the Play Store.
  2. The next game was to remember the actions in the previous section. Like we were given a matrix of numbers and shapes below them of different colors, firstly we have to click serials numbers and then multiple of 3 and then numbers having shaped a circle, and so on.
  3. The next game was to move the bot to its destination. We can move it left, right, up, down, and jump. We have to avoid dangers and reach our destination.
  4. Next game was to click the match button if the color and the word matched like the word is red and the text color is black then click not match if it is yellow and the text color is also yellow then click match.
  5. The next game was to color a face according to the given face. We have to color different parts of the face acc to the given face.
  6. One question was asked to write an answer to it. The question was “You are working on a web application that needs to handle a large number of concurrent user requests. The application is experiencing performance issues, and you suspect that the database is the bottleneck. Describe the steps you would take to diagnose and optimize the performance of the application, focusing on backend components like the database and server-side code.”.
  7. The next question was asked and we have to record a video of ourselves speaking it like we create a video. 2 minutes were given to think and after that, we have to speak for about 1 minute. The question was “you want to ensure that the uploaded files are safe and do not contain any malicious code what steps could you take to ensure the security of your app”.

Second Round: Technical Interview Round

The interview consisted of the following questions:

  • Introduction
  • A brief explanation of projects
  • Cross questions on my project
  • What was your major and Minor project and how many members you guys were?
  • What was your role in both projects and what issues you faced during the project?
  • Questions about my preferred language.
  • Questions about pointers in cpp.
  • Questions regarding virtual functions and how to use them.

Third Round: Cultural Discussion Round

It was basically a friendly interview. They told me about their work culture, the people at Grappus, etc.

They asked me questions about my culture and wanted to check my behavior.

I was not selected after that. That’s all about my interview at Grappus Interview.

Tips: The games in the assessment were the same as we played in our childhood. You don’t remember at the time how to play them but after it you will remember. Dont panic play game free minded as you have multiple lives in it if you fail, you will lose a life. Prepare all DSA topics thoroughly. and about your projects.
