Ergo Technologies And Services Software Developer Interview Experience

ERGO is one of the major insurance groups in Germany and Europe. The Group is represented in over 20 countries worldwide, concentrating on core and growth markets in Europe and Asia. The technology unit of ERGO comprises of Itergo Information Technology, ERGO Technologies and service Poland, ERGO Technologies & Services India. ERGO offers a comprehensive range of insurances, pensions, investments and services. In its home market of Germany, ERGO is one of the leading providers in the life, non-life and health segments with a comprehensive range of products. In 2023, ERGO received insurance revenues of 20 billion euros and had insurance service expenses of almost 18 billion euros.

Recruitment Process:

There were 4 rounds for the whole recruitment.

• Round 1: Resume Shortlisting
• Round 2: Online Test
• Round 3: Technical Interview
• Round 4: HR Interview

Round 1: Resume Shortlisting:

It is an elimination round. Based on your profile and resume you will be shortlisted for the online test.

Note: Make your resume carefully. Try to do more good projects, internships and include trending technologies in the resume.

Round 2: Online Test :

This is an elimination round. Test was conducted in online mode. Time duration of the test was 60 mins and total no. of questions were 51.In the Online Test there are total 5 sections.

Online Test details:

In the Written English Test section, one situation was given to write E-mail . During the test we were able to switch in any section. Total 60 mins shared with each section.

Tips: You can practice questions on the GFG for online test. So it will increase your speed. Learn Email writing skill also.

After clearing the online test, I got the mail for Technical Interview round.

Round 3: Technical Interview (40 mins):

This round of Technical Interview was conducted virtually on Microsoft Teams. There were 2 interviewer on the interview panel.

• Tell me something yourself.
• Describe your projects in detail.
• Role in the project and many cross questions and deep discussion on the technology which is used in the project.
• What are the elective subjects in your branch.
• What is AI & ML ?
• What is LAN and WAN ? Give a real life example.
• Sorting Algorithms.
• What is Database ? Types of database.
• Coding Question( Find duplicate words in the given string).
• Two- three situation based questions.
• Daily Activity and schedule.
• About Hometown.
• Family Background.
• Extracurricular activity.
• What are your hobbies?
• What are your Future plans ?
• Where do you see yourself after 3 years.

Tips: Interviewer can ask to write code on Array, String and other simple programming problems , so practice these concepts before interview.

Round 4: HR Interview : (30 mins)

This round of Interview conducted in college physically.

• Tell me something about yourself.
• Describe projects and what was your role in the project.
• Why B. Tech?
• What are the subjects in 7th semester?
• What do you know about ERGO?
• One question of Puzzle.
• What is garbage collection?
• What is exception handling?
• What is Null pointer exception?
• Write a program of exception handling using try- catch block.
• If our company works on different technology, in which you have not worked before. Would you still want to work on different technology or stick to one technology.
• Are you homesick? Are you ready to relocate ?
• Where do you see yourself after 2-3 years.
• Why do you want to join ERGO?

Tips: Try to give more mock interviews before appearing in the real interview, so it will boost up your confidence level.
