Located in Europe and a part of the United Kingdom, England shares its borders with Wales in the west and Scotland in the north. It has the Irish Sea in the northwest and the Celtic Sea in the southwest. At one point in time, England had colonized several countries. Apart from ruling and having control over almost every industry in its colonies, England has been successful in establishing English as one of the most spoken languages in the world.

England is well known for its mouth-watering cuisines. Some of the extremely popular dishes made in the country are Fish and Chips, Shepherd’s Pie, Cornish Pasty, Roast Dinner, Steak, and Kidney Pie, etc. So, now following the famous dishes of England:

1. Fish and Chips: A common takeaway food, Fish and Chips are made with deep-fried codfish in crispy batter, that is served with chips. It is apparently an extremely popular food in England and is famous all over the world. It is served in a wrapped paper along with salt as well as malt vinegar. Fish and chips were offered in a newspaper before the year 1980.

5. Cornish Pasty: It is a famous refreshment in Cornwall, England. It is made up of chopped beef as well as vegetable stuffing, enfolded in a pastry that is baked until it’s golden.

6. Roast Dinner (Sunday Roast): This cuisine is typically offered on Sunday. However, one can enjoy it any day of the week. It is traditionally accepted as one of the finest British foods in pubs. It is generally offered in a carvery. Moreover, the roast dinner on Sunday usually includes roasted meats of different types like chicken breast, pork, turkey, as well as beef.
