Round 1: Open House (1 – 1.5 hrs):
- Introduction.
- So, this wasn’t exactly an elimination round, but the folks who applied for SDE @Cutshort were required to attend this round as it was mandatory.
- The open house started with a brief introduction of the company where the co-founders and all the senior team at cut short gave us a brief idea about what all problems are there and how cut-short is coming up with an idea to solve those problems.
- All of this was explained through the presentation.
- Also, there was a Q&A session after the presentation wherein the team was open to the questions.
Round 2: Online Coding Round (1 – 1.5 hrs): Level: Medium
- So, the people who attended the open house received a link for the technical test that was to be conducted online.
- There were two coding questions that tested the concepts of DSA.
- The questions were based on arrays and linked lists.
- It was a proctored exam, so they were very particular about the authenticity of the code and the quality too!
- After submitting the code, I was able to view the results. Both of my codes worked and were submitted successfully.
Round 3: Technical Round (45 mins):
- After clearing the coding round, I received a google meet invite for the technical round.
- This round was with a person from their tech team.
- He was super cool. The round began with both of us introducing ourselves, followed by some conceptual questions regarding javascript and some related to the backend.
- Overall it was quite easy but I was nervous :P. The round went on for 45 minutes.
Round 4: Non-Technical Round (15 mins): So, to my surprise, I received a meeting invitation stating that I had cleared my technical round!
- This round was pretty much the same round as the other companies’ conduct.
- The questions were basically asked from a cultural point of view and how to fit I am apart from the technical aspects.
Result: Still waiting for the results 😛
Will update here as soon as I get to hear from them.
