- As per CTET Exam Pattern 2024, paper 1 is conducted for primary teacher (Classes I to V).

CTET Exam Marking Scheme 2024
In addition to familiarizing yourself with the exam format, comprehending the CTET Marking Scheme for the upcoming test is crucial. It entails how marks are allocated for right and wrong answers. Candidates receive one mark for each correct response, and there are no deductions for wrong answers or unanswered questions.
Both Paper 1 and Paper 2 have a total of 150 marks each, and the exam does not include negative marking.

- Paper-I is for candidates who intend to be teachers for classes I to V (primary stage).
- The paper consists of five sections: Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies.
- There are 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), and each question carries 1 mark.
- The total marks for Paper-I are 150.
- Paper-II:
- Paper-II is for candidates who intend to be teachers for classes VI to VIII (elementary stage).
- The paper consists of five sections: Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, Mathematics and Science (for Mathematics and Science teachers), or Social Studies/Social Science (for Social Studies/Social Science teachers).
- There are 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), and each question carries 1 mark.
- The total marks for Paper-II are 150.
Qualifying Marks for CTET Exam
A Candidate needs to score a minimum of 60 % marks to qualify for the CTET Exam. However, Candidates belonging to reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/differently-abled) may be eligible for relaxation as per the rules.
