I applied through firstnaukari.com. Colt Technology Services were for hiring various positions. I applied for the Quality assurance group. the whole recruitment process was well-defined and it consists of a total of 3 rounds.

  • Online Assessment
  • Technical Interview
  • Managerial Round

Round 1 Online Assessment (45 min): It includes 3 coding questions and we have to solve these 3 questions in 45 min. Questions were based on Arrays, strings, and basic 1D DP. The questions were pretty straightforward. One has to solve all the questions to clear the first-round cutoff.  I was able to solve all of them.

Round 2 Technical Round (30min): This was the pure technical round that happened on the Microsoft Teams platform. There was 2 interviewer’s when I entered the meeting.

  • The interview started with their Introduction and after that, they asked me “Tell me about yourself”.
  • After the introduction they start asking some technical questions on software testing, puzzles, and case study question(they wanted to deep dive into candidates’ thinking processes).
    •  Puzzle: There is a pond that contains a special kind of algae that doubles itself every day and after 30 days that algae will completely cover that pond so how many days it will take to cover half of the pond?
  • Case study question: You are given a website (random website) you have to write all the possible test cases before deploying it to the web.
  • After this, they started asking questions about my resume. Deep dive into my projects, how you implemented this tech stack? , why this technology? , alternative tech stacks which can be used in your project?
  • Then they went through my achievements which I have mentioned in my resume so they asked a few questions regarding hackathons in which I participated.
  • Then at last one DSA question was asked just to explain my approach and pseudocode.

After a week I received a mail that you have cleared the Technical round and that Round 2 is scheduled.

Round 3 Managerial Round (30min): There was only 1 interviewer in this round and he was having more than 17 years of experience in the industry. This round was not at all technical, It was a healthy discussion for around 30 min and basically, he wants to know about my thinking process, few case studies and situation-based questions were asked in this round (They focus on communication skills).

Final Verdict: Selected
