There are two papers in the UPSC CAPF AC Exam, which are:
- Paper-I that is of a duration of 2 hours, comprises of 125 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) which are of 250 marks. There is a negative marking of 1/3rd marks for each incorrect answer. It is bilingual, in both Hindi & English langauges.
- Paper-II which is of 3 hours, has a descriptive format carrying 7 questions of 200 marks. It includes Precis Writing, Comprehension Components, and other communication/language skills. It is a paper solely based in English.
- Both Papers 1 & 2 together are a total of 450 marks.
