C.V. Raman Global University, Bhubaneshwar Campus Experience

Navigating through the corridors of CV Raman Global University (CVRGU) in Bhubaneswar, my college experience was a unique blend of ups and downs, marked by a distinctive journey of growth and adaptation. The sprawling campus, stretching far and wide, became a familiar landscape where friendships were forged and dreams began to take shape. However, the onset of the pandemic introduced an unexpected twist, compelling us to navigate a hybrid mode of learning where our homes doubled as classrooms. Despite this, periodic visits to the campus for exams and in-person classes reminded us of the tangible connection we shared with our academic home.

About the Campus

Spread across its vast grounds were distinct buildings, each housing a specialized branch, complete with well-equipped laboratories boasting cutting-edge technology. The hum of high-tech machines echoed the spirit of innovation that permeated the air. The library, a treasure trove of knowledge, embraced a plethora of books that catered to every conceivable academic pursuit, while the campus itself offered serene vistas that seemed to merge seamlessly with the pursuit of knowledge. Impeccably designed, the campus stood as a testament to meticulous craftsmanship, creating an environment where learning and aesthetics coexisted harmoniously.

First Year Experience

In my inaugural year at the university, the campus buzzed with activity as offline classes laid the foundation for our academic journey. Each day was a canvas of new experiences, a voyage enriched by enthusiastic participation in an array of events and celebrations. From the dynamic energy of our college fest to the collaborative spirit of hackathons, and the cultural fervor of various puja celebrations and national events, our engagement was brimming with fervent enthusiasm. Amidst these vibrant activities, our academic endeavors remained unwavering. Attending classes in person, we absorbed knowledge, engaging in animated discussions and forging lasting connections with fellow students. The bonds we forged extended beyond the classroom, with shared moments of rebellion during mass bunks and a sense of unity even in playful punishments. Offline exams were a testament to our commitment, and seminars on campus enriched our intellectual horizons.

Amidst these experiences, friendships blossomed, becoming an integral part of our journey. Our mentors, the guiding stars, not only supported us academically but also offered valuable life insights. Reflecting on that first year, I’m filled with memories of laughter, exploration, and personal growth. It was a period of discovering not only the depths of our chosen fields but also the breadth of human connections and shared aspirations.

Second Year Experience

Entering the second year, the transition to online classes posed considerable challenges, as sporadic network issues and varying accessibility levels tested our adaptability. Despite these obstacles, our resilience prevailed, with some of us excelling while others navigated the intricacies of remote learning. The shift to virtual education opened new avenues, allowing us to explore internships and diverse courses beyond our prescribed curriculum, enriching our academic journey and revealing our ability to adapt.

Throughout this transformative year, mentors provided indispensable guidance, and the faculty’s commitment to enhancing our learning experience was evident through active feedback-seeking and course refinements. Beyond academics, we imbibed vital life lessons, embracing humility, empathy, and resilience. As we confronted the second year’s challenges, we understood the importance of unity and the strength born from adversity, ultimately emerging with a heightened sense of personal growth and community spirit.

Third Year Experience

In the third year, a dynamic balancing act unfolded as we alternated between our college campus and s. Our encounters with new faculty members on campus coincided with the exciting prospect of imminent placement training. Contractual experts joined us to provide invaluable guidance, setting our sights on the pivotal goal of securing placements while maintaining a firm academic footing. The year centered around honing our reasoning skills and mastering interview techniques. Alongside formal instruction, many of us embarked on personal preparation journeys, seizing every available opportunity, whether it was participating in hackathons or venturing into research paper writing. This year epitomized our determination to grasp every chance for professional and intellectual growth.

Fourth Year Experience

The fourth year, although brief, brimmed with intensity as we embraced every moment to the fullest. While some of us achieved placement success, others faced ongoing challenges on that front. It was a year of diverse outcomes – a few realized their dreams by securing placements in coveted companies, while others grappled with uncertainty. Placements varied drastically, with some enjoying multiple offers from different firms while others encountered more arduous paths. In my case, I celebrated success with placements in four companies: Accenture, PwC, Tech Mahindra, and LT Mindtree. My internship with PwC, beginning in March, presented a unique choice between completing the last semester and the internship. Opting for the latter, I forewent the final semester. The year sped by, marked by both celebration and the pursuit of placement opportunities, as we cherished every campus event with the added anticipation of achieving our career aspirations.
