BELAZ 75710 is significantly considered the largest truck in the world.

Making and Features of BELAZ 75710

It is a huge truck which can make u feel very tiny. It was discovered by the Belarusian Company Belaz in Belarus. It is actually a dump truck that can carry about 450 tons of loads. If we measure the weight of both the truck and the load carried by it it can reach up to 850 tons. It’s a massive amount of load to be considered. There are just three dump trucks of the size in the world. It is said that the fourth one is being made by the company. Actually, the idea of assembling the truck from a Russian mining company. In October 2013, the BELAZ 75710 was introduced to the world.

It is estimated that about 10 thousand workers were hired to make the world’s largest dump truck. At that time, it took about $6- 7.5 million. If some extra load is carried the truck has a loading capacity of up to 500 tons. So, the truck made its first Guinness World record of being the only which can load the highest amount of load. According to some research, it is calculated that the cubic capacity of BELAZ 75710 is 645 m³. The second time it registered its name in the Guinness world record is the title of the largest truck in the world.

Structure of BELAZ 75710

Talking about the size, the length of the truck is 20m, the width is 10m, and the height is 8m. The truck consists of 2 V17 cylinders producing energy of 2300 HP each. It carries two generators that can produce electricity that can light up many apartments which are 3.5 kW. These generators are responsible to run the four wheels. There are 4 wheels and 4 engines. The engines of the truck can produce 1600 HP energy per wheel. The diameter of the tires of the truck is 4m. On each side of the truck the tires are duplicated so, in total there are 8 tires. The tires are really heavy weighing 6 tons each. Being heavy in size they are expensive too. One such tire can cost up to 50 to 90 thousand dollars. Basically, BELAZ is an electric truck. Looking at its size we can consider that it is impossible to take this truck by road so about 25 railway tracks are used to move it.

To rum this gigantic truck we need a lot of fuel. Basically, the truck has 2 fuel tanks that can contain 2800 liters of fuel. In an hour it drinks 550 liters of fuel. Running this vehicle may be very costly. It can run for 10-12 years. BELAZ 75710 can cover 100,000 km per year which is approximately 1 million kilometers in its lifetime.
