Naruto is one of the best action anime out there. It is an anime about Ninjas, spirits, and mythical creatures so it isn’t shocking that it is filled with action sequences. Naruto is responsible for giving us some of the coolest fight scenes in anime history.

10. Madara vs the Five Kage

Once Madara was freed from the clutches of Kabuto, he went out causing havoc all over the world. The Five Kage came together to stop this destruction but for Madara it was just a chance to test the extent of his powers.

The fight saw Madara create a clone of himself, armed with Susanoo and almost killing all of the Five Kage. It was one of the greatest fight sequences that left the audience and fans shocked at the sight of Madara’s powers.

One of the first missions undertaken by Team 7 was to the Land of Waves. Tanuza had lied to them about the danger of the mission and it wasn’t until later, when Kakashi realised how dangerous the mission really was.

They had to fight Zabuza, the Demon of the Mist and Haku, who sacrificed herself to save the emotionless Zabuza. It was when Naruto spoke about Haku’s love for Zabuza, that the demon of mist broke down in tears for his dead comrade.

Shikamaru vs Temari is still one of the most iconic battles fought in any anime, let alone Naruto. It took place during the Chunin Exam. The fight was crucial for both Shikamaru and Temari.

Throughout the fight, audience and Temari are led to believe that she is going to win the fight but it isn’t until the very end, when Shikamaru traps overconfident Temari with his Shadow Release move.

Jiraiya had infiltrated the Hidden Rain to get some information on the country’s ruler. The truth about the Leader of the Akatsuki, he was shocked to say the least.

Jiraiya has to fight the Six Paths of Pain without any prior information. The fight sequence was emotional and ended with Jiraiya sacrificing himself in order to get the information to the Hidden Leaf Village.

Episode: 134-143

Itachi is one of the most well-written characters of all time. He started out as a villain, who killed his parents, clan members and even tortured his brother. Sasuke spent each day of his life wishing to kill his brother and in episode 134 he finally gets a chance.

The fight between the two brothers was a rollercoaster of emotions. It was clear that Itachi had an upper hand and Sasuke was no better than a dead body. But everyone was left confused when Itachi used his Susanoo and just poked Sasuke’s forehead.

5. Rock Lee vs Gaara

Episode: 48

Another fight from the Chunin Exam was between Gaara and Rock Lee. Rock Lee started the match as the underdog. Gaara was unscathed from all the attacks Rock Lee threw at him. But the fight took a U-turn when Lee dropped his Ankle weight.

Lee was faster than Gaara had anticipated. It was impossible for Gaara’s sands to keep up with Lee’s pace. It was clear to the audience that Lee was going to defeat Gaara. But Gaara cushioned the impact of Lee’s Reverse Lotus and then crushed his left leg and arm. Seeing how badly Lee was injured, Gaara, the prodigy from Hidden Sand was declared the winner.

The way this fight scene was animated is just heartwarming and beautiful. The fight is one of the most iconic fights in Naruto history, due to its animation but also because of its background. 3. Obito vs Kakashi

Of all the coolest and shocking reveals in Naruto, Obito being the Masked man who started the Fourth Great Ninja War was the most chilling. It was especially heartbreaking for Kakashi when he found out that his old best friend was responsible for the fourth great Ninja War.

The fight between the pretty simple and used Taijutsu at the highest level. The emotions in the fights were all time high. The two best friends try their best to beat each other but them being equally capable just keeps the fight intriguing for the audience.

2. Madara vs Might Guy

Madara became the Ten Tails Jinchuriki and almost took out all of the Shinobi Alliance. He even overpowered Naruto and Sasuke with his “Ridiculous-Chakra Reserves. At this moment, the Might Guy stepped up and opened the eighth and the final gate of Death, which boosted his power, temporarily.

Might Guy went toe to toe with Madara and almost defeated him. The only thing that helped Madara was his quick healing techniques. This fight gave Might Guy a centre stage and showed everyone how powerful he can actually be.

I cannot think of a better way of ending the series than this. The bloodthirsty Sasuke and his old Friend Naruto have to fight. The battle is still one of the best animation works in the series. We see the duo activate their Jinchurikis and fight with their entire strength.

The entire fight Naruto is seen holding back as he doesn’t want to hurt his friend but Sasuke is out for blood and wants to kill Naruto as fast as possible. The fight ended when both the characters used their signature move and blew each other’s hands off. It works beautifully as an ending to Sasuke and Naruto’s journey but also as the finale to the overall anime.
