Pre-Screening:

Before the formal interview process, I submitted my application for the Power Programmer Wave 18 Bridge through the company’s portal. The application required me to provide my tech stack, work experience, and a brief statement explaining my interest in the program. After a few days, I received an email notifying me that I was shortlisted for the next round, which was the coding assessment.

Round 1 – Coding Assessment 1:

The technical assessment was an online test conducted through Infosys’ assessment platform. It comprised of 3 Coding Questions of easy, medium, and hard levels with 3 hours of time duration. The coding challenges were designed to evaluate my problem-solving skills, algorithmic knowledge, and coding efficiency. I was able to solve 2 and a half questions in this assessment.

I found the assessment to be challenging, but it was a great opportunity to showcase my technical abilities. After completing the assessment, I eagerly awaited the results.

Round 2 – Technical Assessment 2:

After successfully clearing the online assessment, I was invited for the second round of coding assessment. This time the assessment was conducted offline in Infosys dc. There were 2 coding questions of easy and medium level which needs to be solved within 2 hours and I was able to solve both of them within an hour. After that, my SPOC informed me that you are selected for the interview round and your interview is scheduled for 2 pm on the same day.

Round 3: Technical + Behavioural interview :

After successfully clearing the 2 rounds of coding assessment, I was invited for a face-to-face technical interview. The interviewer was very friendly and created a comfortable atmosphere, which helped ease any nervousness I had. The technical interview began with a discussion about my current role, the projects I had worked on, and the technologies I was familiar with. The technical interview covered a wide range of topics. He asked in-depth technical questions related to programming concepts of core Java, spring boot, microservices, DBMS, data structures, algorithms, and problem-solving. I was asked to explain the working principles and real-life applications of various data structures such as stacks, queues, linked lists, trees, and graphs. Furthermore, the interviewer presented me with coding problems, and I had to walk through my thought process while arriving at the solutions. They were interested not only in the correct answers but also in understanding how I approached problem-solving.

Final Selection:

After completing all the rounds of interviews, I received an email informing me that I had been selected for the Power Programmer Bridge Program at Infosys.

Overall, the interview experience for the Power Programmer Bridge Program at Infosys was rigorous yet rewarding. The process allowed me to demonstrate my technical skills, passion for programming, and eagerness to grow as a developer. The supportive and professional approach of the interviewer made the experience enjoyable, and I am excited about the learning opportunities that await me in the Power Programmer role at Infosys.
