How to get Started with Audio Notifications via SoundPod by Google Pay?

SoundPod by Google Pay is an audio notification service that alerts merchants to QR code payments. When customers scan your QR code and make a successful payment, SoundPod plays an instant voice notification.

How to get SoundPod by Google Pay in India?

1. Open the Google Pay for Business App: You can download the Google Pay for Business app from the Google Play Store on Android devices. Here’s how you can get it:

• Open the Google Play Store app on your Android device.
• In the search bar, type “Google Pay for Business“.
• Tap the app icon and then tap “Install“.
• Once downloaded, follow the on-screen instructions to launch the app.

2. Start the Subscription:

• From the main screen, tap Get Started below your business name.
• Under “Quick links,” tap SoundPod.
• Tap See plans.

3. Choose a Service Plan:

• Daily plan: ₹499 one-time fee, then ₹5 per day for 25 days (including taxes).
• Yearly plan: ₹1499 for one year (save ₹500) (including taxes).

4. Review the Tips:

• Your subscription starts on activation and renews annually.
• Receive ₹125 cashback for accepting over 400 payments in a month via GPay QR codes.

5. Complete the Process:

• Tap Continue.
• Enable Turn on daily settlement.
• Select a payment profile or create a new one.
• Tap Submit.
• Review your subscription details and delivery date for the SoundPod.
• Tap Done.

Setting Up SoundPod

1. Turn on the SoundPod

Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds.

2. Verify Connection

• A green LED will glow when turned on and connected.
• Network strength will be displayed.
• You’ll hear two voice prompts: “Welcome to SoundPod by Google Pay” and “Network Connected.“

3. Enjoy Notifications 

Once connected, SoundPod will announce successful QR code payments.

Operating SoundPod

1. Power: Press and hold to turn on/off.

2. Volume up/down: Adjust volume, press and hold for max/min.

3. Menu:

• Press once: play last transaction.
• Press twice: play last 3 transactions.
• Press and hold: display one-time password (OTP).
• Press and hold + Volume up once: display terminal ID (TID).
• Press and hold + Volume up twice: display firmware version.

Viewing and Downloading Invoices

1. Open the Google Pay app.

2. Navigate to “Invoices.”

3. Choose an option:

• Under “Quick links,” tap SoundPod and then More Invoices.
• Go to Settings > Invoices and select SoundPod.

4. Select the invoice you want to view and download.

Viewing SoundPod Transactions

• SoundPod transactions refer to service fees deducted for audio notifications.
• Check the app homepage for a summary of transactions in the past day, week, or month.
• Tap a specific transaction to see details, including “SoundPod fee deduction.”

Cashback Campaign for SoundPod Users

• Receive a ₹125 cashback scratch card by accepting over 400 transactions via GPay QR codes in a month.
• Scratch card is valid for 28 days.
• Review the campaign terms and conditions for details.

Cancelling Audio Notification Services

• Call Google customer support at +1-800-309-7597.
• Please note the cancellation policy and return procedure for the SoundPod device.

Important Notes to SoundPod by Google Pay

• Daily settlement is required for subscribing to and using SoundPod services.
• Only up to 30 transactions from a single user in a month count towards the cashback campaign.
• Failed transactions are not eligible for cashback.
