Gyan Ganga College of Technology Campus Experience

My campus life started way back in 2021 when I was admitted to one of the top-notch colleges in my city, Gyan Ganga College of Technology, Jabalpur. Currently, I’m in the 6th semester (3rd year) pursuing an Electronics and Communication Engineer.

About College

My college is an amalgamation of studies, extracurricular activities, thousands of millions of memories and a myriad of experiences. From thriving to excel in academics to providing labs in each course/subject separately with high-speed and secured networks for students to work on their systems. Exams taste like any sweet bubble gum that lasts till the end of your college life with the same freshness and sweetness, though bitter to some.

The library hall welcomes everyone with the newness, and freshness of newly printed books and good old wrapped books with pages that promise to take you on a journey of discovery, and unexplored knowledge and exude a sense of newness with crisp, unblemished covers and pristine pages waiting to be explored. Natural light spills through large window panes, casting a warm glow on rows of tables and chairs which provides comfortable reading spaces for students to indulge in the pleasure of exploring the latest literary, and academic treasures and the books of their choice. The carefully curated selection of books is a testament to our commitment to providing the latest and most relevant resources to our students and patrons.

The different clubs of our college have their charm. Foxogyan club, Dancing club, sports club, singing club, fashion club, photography club, language club and the entrepreneurship cell club range from technical to hobby to business kind of clubs motivating and fostering students of the college to participate and evolve as a whole. These are just the names of the clubs, there is a plethora of opportunities for students to explore and develop their talents. These activities are not seen as distractions but as integral components that contribute to a well-rounded education.

Then comes the turn of our favourite sports area. It allows not only students but teachers as well to play their choice of sport ranging from basketball (my all-time favourite sport), badminton, football, cricket, athletics and many more. The amphitheatre and auditorium of the college are two distinct spaces but serve quite the same purpose of filling students with confidence, providing cultural, arts, performance-based activities, academic events and the list of its usage goes on.

From the greenery in the gardens filled with colourful plants and the herbal known by its name to the sufficient and hugely well-spaced area for parking students and its staff to step into the college canteen – the aroma of freshly prepared sandwiches, chaat, dosa sambar with chilled cold-coffee greets you, creating an inviting atmosphere that beckons students and faculty alike. This bustling space is not merely a dining area; it’s a vibrant hub and a social space where students, faculty, and staff gather for nourishment, relaxation, and social interaction.

My Experience

In my first year, I was introduced to many clubs that were in the college wherein I joined the debate club. The first semester was spent mostly at home due to COVID-19.

The second year greeted everyone with its warmth in August. I joined Udyam E-ell primarily to explore myself but it turned out a superb experience for me. There, I performed tasks for it and used to submit it on time. To my surprise, I found know that I had topped 1st year with the highest percentage and was awarded in the Lakshya Ceremony hosted by Gyanotsav in 2023. It was a moment of mixed emotions filled with joy, astonishment, utterly elated and pleasantly surprised.

3rd year came in the blink of an eye and I found myself still absorbing its challenges and opportunities. From becoming public relations lead at Udyam E-Cell to finding myself engrossed in minor projects, exams, sharpening coding and improving communication to polishing myself in every possible way.

College Fests

Here comes the turn of college fests. Holi celebration, Gyanotsav, winter breeze to DJ nights, celebration of tourism of various states to numerous countries worldwide and the list of fests in my college goes on. These fests significantly contribute to the vibrant and dynamic atmosphere of my college.

Placement Cell

Placement Cell knows its work well. From informing students about internships, and competitions to organizing sessions as well headed by industry experts. It’s the collective hard work of TPO (Training and Placement Cell), teachers and students of my college that every year hundreds of students find their dreams come true of getting placed in companies.

Conclusion

The fests, canteen, mandatory uniform, beautiful and meaningful quotes on the wall- these and may like these are just the punctuation marks. The narrative of excellence and commitment to first making them a responsible citizen is written every day in the CLASSROOMS.
