Everyone is aware of the famous FXs Alien Series franchise, the science fiction horror film, that has been entertaining the audience since the 1980s. As of now, there are 8 films released in this movie series, which were directed by renowned filmmakers, including James Cameron, David Fincher, and Ridley Scott. In the final days of 2020, as part of Disney’s Investor Day presentation, a television series was announced by the owner of the Alien Franchise, 20th Century Studios for FXs Alien Series on Hulu.

Crew of ‘Fxs ALIEN Series’

Writing and Direction by Noah Hawley

Noah Hawley is an American writer and director, well-known for his writing and direction of the crime comedy series Fargo (2014-). Noah was a full-time writer part-time director and producer for various television series, including Bones (2005-2008), The Usuals (2009), My Generation (2010), and Fargo (2014-). He was also a writer and director for the superhero series Legion (2017-2019) which is based on Marvel Comics. Also, Noah Hawley is a novelist, with 6 six books published. He received various accolades including, nominations for Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for the series Fargo (2014-).

Noah was roped in as writer and director for the FXs Alien Series, which is yet to be released.

Executive Production by Ridley Scott

Sir Ridley Scott is an English Filmmaker, well-known for his films in science fiction and historical dramas. Scott has directed many great films, including Gladiator (2000), G.I. Jane (1997), American Gangster (2007), The Martian (2015), Thelma & Loise (1991), Black Hawk Down (2001), and many more. Scott was an alumnus of the Royal College of Art, London. He received numerous accolades, including three Academy Nominations for Best Director, two Prime Time Emmy Awards, and a Golden Globe. He was Knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 2003.

Ridley Scott was the Director of the first Alien Franchise movie, Alien (1979). The movie was considered one of the greatest and most influential in sci-fi and horror genre films. For the FXs Alien Series, he is working as an Executive Producer.

1. Sydney Chandler in the lead role

Sydney Chandler is an upcoming American Actress and was cast in the lead role in the FXs Alien Series, however, the name of the role is yet to be known. She made her acting debut in 2016 and has appeared in Don’t Worry Darling (2022). She played the role of Eve Olsen in the series SKAM Austin (2019) and Chrissie Hynde in Pistol (2022). She was also cast in the lead role of Apple TV’s upcoming science fiction series Sugar (2023-). She is the daughter of famous actor Kyle Chandler.

2. Alex Luther as CJ

Alex Luther is a young English Actor who is playing the role of CJ in FXs Alien Series, known for playing the role of young Alex Turing in the biographical thriller The Imitation Game (2014). Later on, he acted in various films including Ghost Stories (2018), The Translators (2019), and The French Dispatch (2021). He got mainstream success for playing the lead role in the television series The End of the F****g World (2017-2019). He received the ‘Young Performer’ award from the London Film Critic Circle Awards and was declared ‘Breakthrough Brits’ by BAFTA for the year 2015.

3. Esse Davis as Dame Silvia

Esse Davis is an Australian Actress, playing the role of Dame Silvia in FXs Alien Seires. She is known for her roles in various films and series, including the role of Phryne Fisher in the series Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries (2012), Lady Crane in Game of Thrones (2011-2019), and many more. Her films include The Custodian (1993), After the Deluge (2003), Logie Awards (2012) and The Badadook (2014). She received many Australian Awards, including the Australian Film Institute for Best Actress.

4. Adarsh Gourav as Slightly

Adarsh Gourav is an Indian Actor and is playing the role of Slightly in the FXs Alien series. He worked in both Hindi and English films and was known for his role as Balram Halwai in The White Tiger (2020). He acted in the Hindi television series Leila (2019), Hostel Daze (2019-2021), and Guns & Gulaabs (2023). Adarsh received a nomination for the BAFTA award for Best Actor in the lead role.

Release Date and Recent Updates of FXs ALIEN series

In a recent interview with Deadline (an online website), Noah Hawley stated that the Alien series going to resume its production in the early months of 2024. Given that information, it is assumed that the series can be released in the first half of 2025.
