What are weekends? Weekends are the time when the entire chores mostly related to cleaning, etc. take place making it like one of the working days. Most people like to just rest and relax. While many do have defined goals, it becomes quite tough to make such an environment to follow them during weekends. So, to release your stress, there are ways to sort the issue of not-so-fruitful weekends and make it the way you like it to be, ‘A perfect and calm’ weekend that is going to will help you achieve your goals.

Here are the habits of how you can fix your weekends while following your goals:

1. Morning is the ‘Me Time’

What do you mostly do during your weekend mornings? Start your day probably in the afternoon? No no! you don’t have to wake up at your office time, but at least an hour or two before the usual routine? This would be the first step to fixing your weekend habit to help you achieve your goals. While following your goals, the habit of starting your day early will leave you with plenty of time to have it for you and your other tasks.

After all, time management is one of the essential parts of achieving your goals.

2. Remind Yourself of Your Goals

Once the youth icon Swami Vivekananda said, “Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life – think of it, dream of it, and live on that idea. Let the brain, muscles, nerves, and every part of your body be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success.”

Just like you use an alarm or calendar notifications to remind yourself of upcoming important events, ranging from waking up early to attending important dates, this inside clock of reminding yourself of what you have been hard for will help you to be on the track.

Another major aspect of this habit is that once your goal keeps popping up the notification in your brain you’ll finally click and take an action on it, as you would do with your alarm, and finally wake up!

3. Evaluate Your Progress and Make Plans for the Next Week

Knowing the result of the work you have achieved so far, is the most exciting part ever. But leaving it up to your memory will be like being harsh on yourself? What if schools/institutions would do the same and never give you that report card in printed form? You would never be able to plan the level of improvement for next time. So, evaluate your progress in written form as you tend to have better control over your progress.

Now, comes the plan for the next weekend. Writing will help you have control over the next goals that you should form keeping the progress of the current weekend in mind. So, writing down tasks is one of the essential habits to help you achieve your goals. Many studies support the fact that the habit of maintaining your progress and planning in writing helps you take further actions rightly and keeps you encouraged to be on the track.

4. Do Exercise and Eat Healthily

To stay focused, the habit of staying healthy is the most important task. Because what you eat reflects not just on your face, but on your ability to do your tasks as well. Because unhealthy habits of continuously lying, eating junk food, and having endless sips of coffee will land you in the darkness of having a hectic and tiring weekend with no energy to start your next week.

Staying healthy means staying energetic and fully ready to reach your dreams. Taking out time to exercise will make you fit. The habit of staying fit and healthy makes successful people keep their feet on the stairs to success. So, take out some moments from the weekend to embrace your health.
