Modifier isPrivate(mod) method in Java with Examples

The isPrivate(mod) method of java.lang.reflect.Modifier is used to check if the integer argument includes the private modifier or not. If this integer parameter represents private type Modifier then method returns true else false.

Syntax:

public static boolean isPrivate(int mod)

Parameters: This method accepts a integer names as mod represents a set of modifiers.

Return: This method returns true if mod includes the private modifier; false otherwise.

Below programs illustrate isPrivate() method:
Program 1:






// Java program to illustrate isPrivate() method
  
import java.lang.reflect.*;
  
public class GFG {
  
    // create a String Field
    private String string;
  
    public static void main(String[] args)
        throws NoSuchFieldException,
               SecurityException
    {
  
        // get Field class object
        Field field
            = GFG.class
                  .getDeclaredField("string");
  
        // get Modifier Integer value
        int mod = field.getModifiers();
  
        // check Modifier is private or not
        boolean result = Modifier.isPrivate(mod);
  
        System.out.println("Mod integer value "
                           + mod + " is private : "
                           + result);
    }
}

Mod integer value 2 is private : true
