jQuery UI Selectable unselected Event

  • Last Updated : 15 Dec, 2021

jQuery UI consists of GUI widgets, visual effects, and themes implemented using the jQuery JavaScript Library. jQuery UI is great for building UI interfaces for the webpages. It can be used to build highly interactive web applications or can be used to add widgets easily.

The jQuery UI Selectable unselected event is used to trigger at the end of the select operation, on each element removed from the selection.

  • Initialize the Selectable widget with the unselected callback function:

    $( ".selector" ).selectable({
        unselected: function( event, ui ) {}

  • Bind an event listener to the selectableunselected event:

    $( ".selector" ).on(
        function( event, ui ) {}

  • event: This event is triggered when the item is unselected.
  • ui: It is a jQuery object that is used to unselect the selectable item.
    • unselected: It is of type element. This is the selected item that has been unselected.
