How Many Halves Make a Whole?

There are 2 halves in a whole.
In mathematical terms, if you have 1 whole unit and divide it into 2 equal halves, each half represents 1/2 or 0.5 of the whole. When you add both halves together (0.5 + 0.5), you get back to the original whole unit, which is represented by 1.
0.5 + 0.5 = 1
OR,
2* 1/2 = 2
If you have a whole object or unit, splitting it into two equal halves results in each half representing half of the whole. When you combine both halves together, you restore the entirety of the original whole.
