Wiingy is an online private tutoring platform, which provides customized tutoring accustomed to your needs, as well as technology courses for kids, curated by experts.

- BTech/MTech, or Dual Degree in Computer Science and similar fields.
- Minimum 1 year of experience.
How to Apply?
The company hires through multiple channels, I applied through a LinkedIn job post, but I have noticed that they have postings in multiple hiring platforms like Naukri, Angelist, etc. Or else, you can go to wiingy.com and you can check out the contact information in the footer and mail there. I have heard that they actively reply to job requests through it too.
Recruitment Process:
Round 1: Introduction and Initial Screening Interview -Telephonic (15 Mins): One of the company’s representatives call you for general communication.
- In this round, they majorly check your basic communication skills. Discussion revolves around the introduction of the role.
- The representative will ask you about your current role, and why are you interested in applying for this role.
- In case you give satisfactory answers to these questions, you’d easily make it to the next round.
Round 2: Technical Interview -Video Conference (45 Mins): In this case, the interviewer will be someone from a technical background, mostly someone from the team who is actually working on their product.
- The interview would be of 45 minutes, it will start with introductions, which would take hardly 5 minutes.
- After that in my case, the interviewer directly jumped to understand my knowledge of the different tech stacks I have mentioned in my CVs.
- I mentioned experience with Javascript, React and MongoDB in my resume, so the interviewer asked me about following questions:
- What is a ReactDOM? What do you understand about it? What is the difference between a virtual and a real dom?
- What is Redux?
- Have you used MongoDB, ad how to add a range in the collection of MongoDB using NodeJS?
- After the interview asked me about my work, and my work in my previous internships, and grilled me on why I chose a particular approach over another.
- This lasted for around 40 minutes. The interview ended with a quick chat about their product and the job roles.
- The interviewer was very friendly and accommodating.
At the end of the day after this round, I got a request for the third and final round of interviews with the Engineering manager.
Round 3: Managerial Round – Video Conference (30 Mins): This round can be considered as a non-technical round, in which they will majorly check your zeal to work in an uncertain environment.
- The manager puts you indifferent situation and checks how you react to each of these situations.
- The interview ended with a discussion about my passion and a light note.
- The questions were practical, and not something you can prepare for.
- After the interview, I got a call from HR and they shared a contract over email with me.
