After shortlisting my resume off-campus, I was asked to come to the company’s Kolkata(Newtown) office for the next 2 rounds.
Round 1:
3 Question paper sets were given.
1) Contained:100 Java questions
Suggestion: Knowledge of Core Java, microservices, and a bit of Spring Boot is helpful
2) HR questions: I can’t reveal the exact questions, but they were like “Why do you want to work for our company?”, “Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?”
3) English questions including grammar
Suggestions: If you’re from a sound English medium background, you won’t need extra preparation. Else, Wren and Martin’s book is very helpful for the grammar section.
The spaces allotted for answers to each question were considerably sufficient, and no rough papers were given.
Round 2:
Interview with a prospective manager, who asked mostly standard HR questions. Since I can’t reveal the exact questions, I will give example questions. I was asked where I stay, and how I would arrange to come regularly from my hometown (as it is at a 2 hours distance from the office). I replied that I will take a Paying Guest accommodation nearby the office.
