I am currently pursuing B.tech in Computer Science and Engineering from Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University in Dehradun. Overall, my campus experience at Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University has been a rollercoaster ride—filled with learning, laughter, and growth. As I step into the professional world, I carry with me not just a degree but a treasure trove of memories. The campus is divided into many buildings and courses in which every building have different courses. It has solar-poweredhas panels at the roof, smart classes in every class, science laboratories, high-tech labs, a food department, multiple libraries, different grounds for different sports, a placement cell, an admission cell, and a university canteen that serves various meals and foods.
First Year:
The first year of my college, solar-powered my first semester studies were offline, but the papers were online due to COVID-19, so I could not experience the exam session at college. In the second semester when the college opened, I experienced various new things in the college. I made new friends, and I saw the college environment, faculties, seniors, and many new things. As I stepped onto the college campus, a mix of excitement and nervousness enveloped me. The transition from high school to college was both thrilling and daunting.
Second year and third year:
Now the new year has started I have had various opportunities to learn new things every day where I mostly explore topics related to my curriculum. In the college, there are various things to learn and to develop our skills. From the second year, our respective subjects are given to us according to our interests. Slowly we adapted to the new changes and made learning fun and enriching. finally, our exams are going to happen so we have practiced very much and after the exams, we enjoy 2 month’s holiday, this holiday is different for everyone some students take a rest and enjoy the holidays and some start to boost their skills and learn new things according to their curriculum.
Final Year:
In the final year, it was the placements session where companies come in college and select students for their company according to their needs and requirements. The teachers helped students with the practice in various things like interviews, mock tests, programming skills, etc. In the final year, it was the time to showcase all the skills and qualifications of the entire college journey. It was very happy moment when the interview session of students went very good and they placed in the company with a good package. The last semester was spent mostly on placement preparations.
College Fests and Hackathons:
In the college every year college organizes a fest known as PINAK in which one of the singer visits in the college and showcase innovating skills and enjoysmakes the students and make the moments memorable. Our college organize hackathons every year in which many students takes to up toparticipate and battle the war of code and win exciting prizes upto 50,000/-, Sleepless nights coding solutions, students practice very much coding for these tests and it gives a good experience of hackathon.
About the Palcement
For the placement during the final year of the students, the college prepares students with mock interviews, resume workshops, aptitude tests, and many more things by which the student can easily tell the information about himself and can easily communicate without and hesitation. College organizes placement drives in which college invites many companies for placement for the students.
According to me as i have the dream to go on the field of cyber security so the roadmap of cyber security is :
Fundamentals of It > operating systems > networking knowledge ? basics of subnetting > security skill and knowledge > tools for incident response > attack types and differences.
