I did my undergraduate studies in Computer Science and Engineering at Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Linguistic University in Lucknow, focusing on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, and it was an exciting field. I’m currently in my fourth year and looking back, I’ve had my ups and downs.
Campus Overview:
When I first joined the University it seemed huge. There are many courses here, not just engineering. We have a basketball court, a big library, a great media lab, and a cafeteria. There are even separate hostels for boys and girls. Our engineering department started in 2020 and I am in the first group.
First-Year Experience:
My first year started during the pandemic, meaning online classes but offline exams. The teachers are very helpful and I can chat with my elders online. That’s when I became interested in programming and that’s why I chose this course. I am very interested in website development. It’s like finding a new playground where I can design and build websites. The teachers are great. Not only do they teach difficult things, but they also make them easier to understand. Even the most difficult subjects become simpler. We have online classes and, although the laboratories are not very airy, they allow us to learn this job. The important thing is not just to listen in theory classes, but to do it.
Second and Third-Year Adventures:
In the second year, most courses are online. The real cool thing happens in the second year when the course reverts to its normal offline mode. It’s like pressing the rewind button and going back to the good old days. Seeing our friends face to face again brings us back to a pre-Ovid place where we could laugh, talk, and enjoy spending time together. Our teachers have helped us a lot. and we provide a lot of training and education. The third year was very exciting. We organized a Tech Fest on campus where my friends and I made a Fire Fighter Robot and got the second position. We also did a 45-day internship.
Final Year Experience:
Now, in my final year, I’m part of the first batch that will graduate in 2024. I saw seniors from the Computer Science and Engineering branch getting jobs in good companies like Genpact, Nissan, Renault, Byju’s, and uCertify.Simply put, my time at Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Language University has been a journey of learning and fun. From a big campus to interesting workshops, and now being part of the first graduating batch, it’s been quite a ride. Let’s see what the future holds!
