Flash is one of the most popular animation tool as it has lots of tools that aid the animators in making their projects in a time and energy-efficient way. Tools like bone tool are really powerful as characters can be easily rigged like puppets and then animate those puppets using bones and kinetics. Apart from this, there are other functionalities also like masking, simulating, etc. All these flash features contribute to reducing the efforts of the users.
Animating Smoke
Smoke animation is used in many projects like pollution, smoking cigarettes, etc. So we should know how to animate smoke, there are a number of ways in which we can animate smoke but the method I am going to use is the simplest of all. Follow the below steps to animate the Smoke.
Step 1: Open a new project in Adobe Flash.
Step 2: Select the rectangle tool and draw a rectangle.
Step 3: Change its shape using a selection tool and free transform tool to make it look like a smoke cloud.
Step 4: Click on the color plate and change the color to blue.
Step 5: Now select the Linear Gradient to give gradient in the smoke shape.
Step 6: Gradient has been applied successfully.
Step 7: Change the color to black which is the smoke color.
Step 8: Select frame 30 and insert a keyframe by pressing F6.
Step 9: Now select the middle frame and add shape tween.
Step 10: Press Ctrl + Shift + H to add shape hints, add 6 shape hints, and place them at different positions.
Step 11: Now go on frame 30 and again place shape hints on different positions.
Step 12: Press the run button to see the smoke animation.
