Every year, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) conducts the TCS NQT (National Qualifier Test) across India specifically for engineering graduates. The selection process consists of three rounds for Ninja Candidates and a modified process for Digital Candidates.
Ninja Candidates:
TCS NQT Online Exam: The first round is the TCS NQT online exam, which is held on a specified date, such as 26th August 2022, at TCS ION remote.
Assessment Round:
This exam includes four sections with an overall time limit of 90 minutes. Level of questions moderated to tough.
- Quantitative Aptitude (20 questions in 40 minutes)
- Programming Concepts (10 questions in 20 minutes)
- Verbal Ability (10 questions in 10 minutes)
- Coding (1 question in 20 minutes)
Technical Round:
Qualified candidates from the TCS NQT exam move on to the next round, which involves document verification followed by a technical interview. The technical round typically covers the following topics:
- Introduce yourself
- Strengths and weaknesses
- Project and certification
- C++ Questions
- SQL Questions(basic)
- what you mention in your resume
HR Round: After the technical round, candidates proceed to the HR round. This round focuses on assessing the candidate’s fit within the company culture and their behavioral traits. HR-related questions, such as your career goals, willingness to relocate, and salary expectations, may be discussed.
Digital Candidates:
For Digital candidates, the selection process is similar to that of Ninja candidates, but with a slight modification after the TCS NQT exam:
Assessment Exam: You have to right two codes in the NQT exam.
Interview: Following the advanced online exam, Digital candidates proceed to the interview stage. The interview may consist of both technical and HR-related questions to evaluate the candidate’s expertise in their field and their suitability for the role.
