First-Year Experience:

My first year at college was all about experimentation, exploring different activities and figuring out what was the best fit for me. As an introvert ,, I found it challenging to start conversations and connect with new people, which made me anxious about how I would navigate campus life .A flood of thoughts filled my mind, like “How will I handle this on my own?” and “What if I don’t fit in?” It felt like everything was uncertain

Despite my anxiety, I started attending classes. Fortunately, I met a few people who welcomed me into their circle, and that was the turning point of my B. Tech journey. It was then that I discovered new talents within myself and started exploring new activities, some of them quite bold. My new friends became like family, and we shared both fun and academic experiences. We participated in various college events, from competitions to group projects, and even won a few.

Reflecting on my first year at SVCET, it was a mix of ups and downs, but meeting the right people made it all worthwhile, transforming what seemed like a daunting experience into a truly enjoyable one.

Second-Year Experience:

Second-Year Experience: Building on my first-year experience, the second year at college was a reality check. We quickly realized that we had neglected essential learning skills and our CGPA wasn’t as high as it could be. This was our wake-up call to start focusing on building stronger technical skills and getting our academic performance back on track.

Even as we aimed to improve our studies, we continued to participate in college events, maintaining a balance between academics and campus life. Our involvement in these activities brought us closer to some talented professors , and their guidance helped us refine our skills and focus on our goals.

In addition to our studies and extracurriculars, one of my friends even fell in love (which is not advisable ), though we all knew it might complicate things. Despite these personal distractions, we kept our eyes on the prize—pursuing high aspirations and working towards our dreams. The second year was a period of growth, both academically and personally, and it set the stage for us to keep climbing toward our goals, hoping that one day we would reach the top of the hill.

As second-year students, we couldn’t help but be curious about placements. To get some insights, I asked a few fourth-year students about their placement experiences. Their feedback was less encouraging; they mentioned that the job market for software engineers was currently going through a downturn, making placements more competitive.

With this in mind, we’re focusing on building our skills, knowing that technical expertise is the key to securing good job opportunities. We’re working hard to ensure that we develop the right skills and gain practical experience to improve our chances of getting placed in high-paying positions when the time comes. Ultimately, we understand that while the market may fluctuate, our skill set will be the most crucial factor in determining our success in the placement process.

B.Tech life is a blend of intense learning, creativity, and unforgettable memories.
