Sri Sairam College of Engineering Campus Experience

First Year:

During the first year, the focus was on making new friends, adapting to the college culture, and exploring the campus.

The syllabus in the first year was moderate; however, the 2023 syllabus has been improved significantly.

The faculty members were excellent, and they were effective in clarifying concepts. Most of the faculty members hold M.Tech and Ph.D. degrees.

Second Year:

The second year posed more challenges, especially for ECE/CSE/EEE/Mech students. This year required a deeper concentration on core subjects.

Third Year:

The subjects in the third year ranged from moderate to difficult, demanding a higher level of understanding and commitment.

Fourth Year:

The eighth semester consisted of comparatively easier subjects.

Sports and Hostel:

Placement:

The college witnesses visits from over 30 companies. Students without any arrears can attend all the companies. Those with arrears are eligible for specific companies that do not have an arrear criterion.

Opportunities in core companies are limited.

The placement training was good, but the packages offered were in the moderate range, generally below 5 LPA.

Overall:

In conclusion, the experience at Sri Sairam College of Engineering was positive. It provided an environment to forge new friendships, adapt to college life, and learn. The faculty quality was high, although the syllabus varied over the years. The hostel had room for improvement, particularly regarding food quality and fees. The sports facilities and training were commendable. Placement opportunities existed but were influenced by academic performance and core company availability. All the best to future students!
