Introduction:- Hey, Firstly I want to introduce you to myself. I am Arun from Faridabad Haryana, a BCA graduate from Mdu University in 2023.
It was my first interview experience on a software development profile as a fresher where I faced failure. From start to end I will share all my interview experience.
My walk-in interview location was in Noida, UP. When I reached the location and at the reception counter a Mam told me to wait and she collected my resume. Then after some time she came and told me to give the Interview rounds one by one.
1. Aptitude round:- It was an online test in companies computer screen where two tests were given-
- First test – Aptitude round – 20 Mcqs – 20 Minutes.
- Second test – Technical round – 30 Mcqs – 30 Minutes.
I had cleared technical tests where simple Java and SQL problems were given. But in the aptitude round, I was failed. Then they called me for the next round of written tests.
2. Written Coding Round:- In this round, they gave me 2 array or string problems and 2 descriptions for writing mail with optimized words. Coding problems were very easy level which were, reverse string and 2nd was check split the array. I had solved all 4 problems easily.
After that, I was selected for the technical Interview round and it was the last round for me.
3. Technical Interview Round:- In this round interviewer first asked me to tell myself about myself. I was nervous at that time because it was my first interview. I told them my introduction then they ark me about Java. He asked me some questions:
- Why do we say Java object oriented and what is an object-oriented programming language?
- What does multithreading tell me, “Is Java single thread or multithreaded”?
- If we call the same function in the bass class with some functionalities changes that are inherited from the parent class, is it possible to override the method, or yes then how?
- Write a program to swap two numbers from variables “a” and “b” without using the third variable.
- And one more question they asked but I have not remembered exactly what they asked.
I knew multithreaded concepts but not real implementation so I got stuck three times first was multithread implementation, the second was swapping without using a third variable and the last one was which I had forgotten.
And finally, after 10 minutes, they told me that you are disqualified.
Lesson Learned –
- I need to implement my communication skills.
- Practice more aptitude questions.
- Company review before the interview.
- Improve programming concepts theoretically.
- Need to learn mail writing professionally.
- Reach for the interview location before 15 or 20 minutes.
- Need to implement basic concepts and problems from array, string, and medium data structures.
Thanks for reading That was my first interview experience where I learned a lot of things and implemented all my mistakes happen in this interview.
