Reak infotech LLP Interview Experience for Associate Software Developer Trainee

In a recent interview for the Associate Developer Trainee role, I was put to the test by the company owner and engineering manager. They began by asking about my current projects and posed questions to assess my technical skills.

Video Interview:

During the video interview, I was given a problem involving opening and closing brackets. Then they asked basic system design questions about an OTP login page. The interview lasted around 30 minutes.

Offline Interview:-

This interview was scheduled in the Jabalpur office as it was my hometown.

The Challenge:

One of the tasks involved designing a to-do app on a whiteboard. I needed to create a clear and functional layout, followed by writing the pseudo-code for the specified functionality. The challenge was ensuring completed tasks moved below the unticked ones, a concept that seemed straightforward initially. During the task, I discussed the concept of using ‘useState’ and ‘eventListeners’ However, I was unable to write the pseudo-code for the intended functionality.

I was able to describe the logic of pagination for the backend, but when I was asked about how I was going to render the pagination in React, I was not able to answer it.

I was also questioned about securing routes in Node.js. While I confidently explained middleware usage for route protection, my performance in other areas overshadowed this strength.

I received a rejection email stating that they had chosen another candidate.
