When I was preparing for the Natwest recruitment drive, there were no sources for the frequently asked questions for the Online Assessment, Interview questions, and computer fundamental questions (You have to prepare for DBMS, Computer Networks, OOPs, and Operating Systems for any technical interview).
Because of this I just want to help others so that they won’t face the problem which I faced. So, let’s talk about the recruitment drive of On-Campus.
NOTE: In my case, the whole recruitment drive was OFFLINE !!
Round 1 (ONLINE ASSESSMENT):
- There were basically 50 Questions – 2 Programming questions and 48 MCQs (4 sections, each of 12 Questions).
- MCQs set includes topics mainly from Database Management Systems (generally related to SQL queries), Object-Oriented Programming concepts, Output prediction programming questions, and English Vocabulary (synonyms, phrases meaning, passage reading and answering).
- 2 programming questions were Easy to Medium level according to GFG difficulty level. For example: “To find the sum of elements of an array”. Questions will be different for everyone.
(In this round, I was able to solve 1.5 out of 2 programming questions (i.e. 12/12 passed for the 1st question and 6/12 test cases passed for the 2nd question. My MCQs section went well. So I got selected for the 2nd Round of recruitment which was Technical Interview.)
NOTE: There were people whose both questions were completely done, but still didn’t get called for an Interview. This is because of the reason that their MCQs didn’t do well. So, you have to give equal focus on each question whether programming or MCQs.
Round 2 (INTERVIEW) :
On our campus, NatWest was conducting only one round of Interviews (which included both Technical as well as HR).
- As a part of the Interview, the Interviewer asked me for a brief Introduction about Myself.
- They were asking questions from my Resume only which I bring with me. (You have to be thorough with your Resume and you should know everything about what you have mentioned in your resume)
- After that they asked me about my projects – I have made three projects, and they asked about the first one from my resume. They asked me about my motivation for doing that project (In my case it was a Social Media App – MERN based.)
- Since it was written in my resume about Problem Solving, the Interviewers asked me about the last problem I solved. I told them about the Rotton Oranges problem (Famous graph problem). Then, they asked where we could apply this problem in real-world scenarios by taking examples from my social media app only. I answered it nicely with the example ( In spreading rumors).
- After that, they asked me about OOPs concepts in C++. They asked me Diamond Problems in C++, and Virtual Functions – both were important topics from the OOPs concept.
Since it was only a single round. So they asked my HR type question in the same interview round.
- They asked me “What do you know about NatWest”. I studied this question before the interview from Pre-Placement Talk and got to know about NatWest. (Put some particular numbers figures facts regarding the company)
- Then they asked the famous Interview Question – “Why should we hire you”. I answered it nicely as I was prepared for these types of questions.
NOTE :
- In my case, they asked these questions only. But be sure, whatever you are speaking, speak with Confidence and Positivity. The interviewers were very nice to me during the whole interview process.
- The Interview was scheduled for 25 minutes for each candidate but mine was extended to 35 minutes.
That was my experience from NatWest Recruitment Drive.
On the very next day, I got a mail from the Placement Department of our College regarding the candidates selected by NatWest for the Software Engineer role. My name was also there on the list .
