Round 1: GD Round
For this round students were shortlisted based on their college CGPA and their CV. Around 100 students were shortlisted for this round. This round was a GD round. Here we were given a topic and then we were given 10 mins to search about the topic and then we had to speak for 3 minutes about it.
Note: Search about the topics well in the given 10 mins, just note down basic points about it and speak confidently.
Round 2: Technical Round
- In this round, around 45 students were selected. In this round, I was asked questions on OOPS (like with real-life examples explain the basics of OOPS), networking, DBMS, and also general questions on a CV like projects, internship, etc. Also, some general questions about my background were asked and two puzzles were asked (water jug problem and 3 bulbs 3 switch puzzle).
Note: The interviewer was very cool and helped me whenever I was stuck.
Round 3: Managerial Round
- General HR questions were asked along with some situation-based questions. Also, some questions were asked on the CV (projects, internship, achievements), etc.
- Note: Do a general analysis of the latest Microsoft works and products and prepare some general HR questions.
Round 4: HR Round
- General questions were asked like why Microsoft, relocation, why support engineer role, etc, and some personal questions like family background, hobbies, etc. In the end, 10 students were selected for this role.
- I would like to say to all the students to prepare, believe in their hard work, and remember hard work always pays off. Enjoy this placement process as you will always remember the ups and downs of this period. Don’t take too much stress, God will always lead you to your desired destination. And remember to take breaks and take care of your health during this time too.
