IBM Interview Experience for Software Developer

It was my third year of graduation in engineering from a college in Udaipur. I already been selected in Tata Consultancy Services as an Assistant System Engineer. From our college, we got to know that IBM has come for recruitment for the role of Software Developer in Rajasthan Technical University, Kota and we can also apply for it.

On the same day, we decided to go to Kota and immediately we booked our train tickets, packed our bags, and started the journey to Kota in the evening. The next day we went to university and appeared for the IBM test.

Round 1

It was a questionnaire round to test the personality. Out of more than 30+ students from my college, only 2 students were able to clear the exam, Me and one of my classmates. Even my friends were out of this round.

Round 2

It was a coding round with only one coding question. It could be answered in any of the languages we are comfortable with. I attempted that in C language. After the test was over results were announced within a few minutes and I cleared this round too.

Now I was the single person from my college who cleared the first two rounds and the final interview round was scheduled to be conducted on the next day. By now it was around 8-9 pm in the night and all of my batchmates were planning to return to Udaipur.
I had to stay there for the interview, so I asked two friends of mine to stay with me since I was all alone in that city and already night had started by now.

But both of them refused to stay (May be because they were not happy with my selection and their rejection at the very first round). After negotiating for some time I decided to come back to Udaipur with all and not attempt the interview round the next day.

I don’t know whether I made a wise choice or not.
