Initially, I dedicated myself to preparing for the NIMCET exam while pursuing my BSc in Computer Science. Over a year, I diligently studied and honed my skills, diligently tackling mock tests every day. However, as they say, sometimes luck just doesn’t seem to be on your side. Despite my hard work, success eluded me in the NIMCET exam.
At that juncture, I learned about the Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET), which piqued my interest. Unlike NIMCET, DUET had a different syllabus, incorporating questions from BSc Mathematics. Undeterred, I redoubled my efforts, determined to seize this opportunity. Much to my surprise and delight, my perseverance paid off, and I secured the 11th rank in the DUET exam.
The revelation of my unexpected success was truly astonishing. I vividly remember checking the list of successful candidates, half-expecting to find none of my friends among them. Yet, against the odds, fortune smiled upon me. This blend of hard work and fortuitousness was a defining moment in my journey.
Upon entering DUCS, I found myself amidst an inspiring group of peers. Their dedication and passion further fueled my aspirations.
In summary, this is my experience of navigating the challenges and triumphs of cracking the DUET exam, and ultimately, finding my place in the esteemed Department of Computer Science at Delhi University.
