Women Engineers Test Exam Experience

Hello, tech aspirants. I am a fresher of B-TECH CSE at BVRIT HYDERABAD COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING FOR WOMEN. This is my experience with the Women Engineers test.

WE: WOMEN ENGINEERS is a 24-month LIVE online training offered by TALENT SPRINT, supported by GOOGLE. This program ensures training in Industry-ready skills, soft skills, personnel development, resume portfolio making, Internship, Placement training, and so on by people who are already experienced in the Industry.

PERKS OF THE PROGRAMME:

1)You are one of the top 200 tech aspirants in the country.

2) It ensures a 100% scholarship which covers the complete program fee and also a rewarding cash scholarship.

3) You get to visit the dream company of many: THE GOOGLE OFFICE, you can also attend the interview with Google.

4) It also involves an offline boot camp for 2 weeks at IIIT HYDERABAD.

5) After completion of the course you get a certificate from TALENT SPRINT, GOOGLE which can be included in your resume.

6)The alumni of this program are working in top-tier companies.

7) Even after graduating from the program, there are alumni meetings and you are guided for further programs like changing from one company to another.

I came to know about this program from my seniors and my college also guided me for selection in this program. The selection process is highly competitive and the latest COHORT-6 selected top 200 students across India.

This is one of the best programs for women engineers who are currently in the first year of B. Tech. / B. E. Specializing in IT / CSE / ECE / EEE / Math / Applied Math or equivalent and who loves the idea of a great tech career and the one compulsion is the student must have scored over 70% in both X and XII.

The selection process involves four levels:

The complete screen and mic are recorded throughout the test and you get a green circle around your image if your audio and video is clear, yellow: if they are moderate, red: this is dangerous ; it means your video is not clear or there is some noise around you or you have tried to navigate to other tab. This is really important part, so find a quiet place and see that your audio and video is clear.

Aptitude test :

This involves all topics of aptitude such as clocks, distances, date and day; translation, rotation of objects and so on. The aptitude related questions can be solved from websites such as IndiaBIX.com, geeksforgeeks.com. Cracking aptitude test is quite easy as even the panel knows that you are first years and have limited knowledge on aptitude . The time limit is 60 mins and you get 50 questions to answer with no negative marking. The official website of talent sprint also provides some mock tests to solve. The people who are qualified in this round are moved to the next round that is the technical test

Technical Test:

This can also be called as the danger zone or elimination round. The test involves 10 mcq’s with no negative marking with a score of 8 and 2 coding questions with a score of 12 marks .The programming languages that can be chosen are C,C++,JAVA and PYTHON. I prefer people to choose PYTHON as it is easy to play around and the questions are quite easy to answer in python. The time limit is 30 mins. The people who are qualified in this round are moved to the next round that is the English test. The official website of talent sprint also provides some mock tests to solve where you can select your desired language and attempt the test.

English Test:

This test is easy to crack provided you are good at basics of English . The questions are quite simple which involves basic grammar, tenses, articles, subject-verb agreement. It also involves a 1 minute pitch where the topic is given on spot , the topics are so simple, for example: Your favorite book, place, vacation spot ,pet and so on. You have one minute to prepare and one minute to speak. I recommend you to write the important points you want to speak on a paper and prepare accordingly. You are supposed to look at the camera and pitch about your topic. The time limit of the test is 10 mins. The people who are qualified in this round are moved to the next round that is the Personnel interview round.

Personnel interview:

This part of the test is something like snake on the number 99 in snake and ladders. There are people who have been disqualified even at this stage. There is nothing to get anxious, you should just answer the questions posed by interviewer confidently. Firstly, maintain a confident expression on your face and dress professionally. the first impression is the best. Just wish the interviewer and *don’t call them mam/sir. Prepare for basic questions like tell me about yourself: keep this professional don’t involve the personnel stuff like about your parents. The hobbies section can be involved only if consists something about your love for tech. The questions can also be like :

1)Why should we select you into this program? You must convince the interviewer with all the ways showing that you deserve it.

2)What is the question that you got in your coding round? Do you have any other simpler way or any other method to solve the question? Be prepared for this, it is a very common question

3)The other question can be What are you expecting from the course? This can be a individual perspective question. Each one has a different answer for this like to learn coding, to be among the elite peer group and so on.

The time limit is not fixed for everyone. It depends on interviewer to interviewer. The average time can be 30-40 minutes.

The complete communication process is through email, so give an active email id. And the important part is to check mails regularly, one of my friend checked her mail the day before exam and could not perform well and got disqualified. The results of the test can be announced anytime after the completion of test for everyone.

the pattern of examination may change every year this is the patter for the year 2023.The exam is most probably between January to March.

********My observations**********

The complexity of questions is not same for everyone. One may encounter the most easy question and the other would be the hardest. So, don’t be disappointed if you are disqualified in any level as there are many programs like this further too. And ,this test process mostly overlaps with college exams and it is quite hard to balance both of them. I was able to crack the aptitude round but the sad part is I got disqualified in the technical test. I chose C language as I had some good knowledge but my blunder mistake was not to choose PYTHON(and I want you all not to repeat the same mistake) and the questions I got were the toughest and I ended up answering only 11 questions out of twelve and left the coding question, got disqualified.

This is my genuine experience. Hope this was useful.

THANKS FOR YOUR TIME AND PATIENCE
