VISET Mumbai Admission Experience

Upon completing my higher secondary education, I was eager to pursue an engineering degree from a reputable institution. Vivekanand Education Society’s Institute of Technology (VESIT) in Mumbai caught my attention due to its excellent academic record and modern facilities. In this account, I’ll share my admission experience at VESIT and cover the essential points of the process.

Eligibility Criteria:

The first step was to check the eligibility criteria for the course I wanted to pursue. VESIT required a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics for general category students in HSC or equivalent exams. Additionally, all applicants must have appeared in the MHT-CET or JEE Main entrance examination.

Entrance Examination:

To secure a seat at VESIT, I appeared for the Maharashtra Health Sciences and Technical Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET) which is conducted for admissions to Engineering courses in Maharashtra. Preparing for the examination was crucial to increase my chances of getting into VESIT.

Application Process:

Once I received my MHT-CET scorecard, I began the application process for VESIT by registering online via the official Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra website (https://www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in). During this process, I filled out my personal information, academic details, and preferences for colleges, including VESIT.

Entrance Examination and Counseling:

After verifying my application, I received information about admission counseling sessions organized by DTE Maharashtra. These sessions use the MHT-CET scores to determine college eligibility and preferences based on merit ranking.

Counseling and Seat Allotment:

During this phase, DTE conducted several rounds of seat allotment through CAP (Centralized Admission Process), where students were allotted seats based on their merit ranking and preferences. I was thrilled to receive a seat at VESIT in the first CAP round itself.

Document Verification:

Upon receiving my seat allotment letter, I attended a facilitation center designated by DTE to verify my documents. The required documents included my HSC mark sheet, MHT-CET scorecard, domicile certificate, and caste certificate (if applicable).

Fee Payment and Admission Confirmation:

After document verification, I proceeded with the fee payment for VESIT to secure my seat. Upon successful payment, I received an admission confirmation receipt.

Orientation and College Life:

Finally, I attended the orientation for new students at VESIT, where the faculty and administration provided insights into campus life and academic expectations. This session eased my transition into college life, making me feel confident and enthusiastic about my new journey.

Throughout my admission experience at Vivekanand Education Society’s Institute of Technology in Mumbai, I found that being well-prepared for entrance exams and staying informed about deadlines was crucial for success. Following these steps diligently helped me secure a seat at VES
