My first interview with TCS was a memorable moment in my life. I was so nervous before my interview but was well-prepared with some interview questions from ‘Geeksforgeeks’.It had 2 round
Round 1: An online written aptitude test
- Around 50 MCQs to be written in 60 min. I cleared the first round and qualified for the interview.
Round 2: Direct interview.
The whole interview process is done virtually.
- It started with the most common question self-introduction.
- Then he asked me around 5-6 simple tech questions.
- Interviewer: Explain Memory allocation.
- Me: I answered.
- Interviewer: How to retrieve data in SQL with the program?
- Me: I gave them a formal definition and wrote code.
- Interviewer: Explain your last year’s project?
- Me: I asked can I explain the presentation. Then he said yes & go ahead. I gave a presentation of the project ‘Face Detection using Python and OpenCV with webcam’ & explained it properly.
- Interviewer: What difficulties you faced while doing this project?
- Me: I answered and told ways I used to overcome it.
- I spoke for 5 minutes, and he was impressed and asked so many questions about the project.
- Then he moved to other questions.
- Interviewer: Tell me about your strength & weakness?
- Me: I answered.
- Interviewer: Why Our Company?
- Me: I answered.
- And so many other common interview questions.
Overall it was a pleasant experience. The next day, I got a mail from the company saying that I have been shortlisted for the job and have to accept the offer letter as soon as possible.
Tips :
- Get ready ahead of time.
- Be Confident in yourself
- Look professional.
- Stay positive.
- Listen Carefully.
- Don’t talk too much.
- Don’t be cocky.
- Focus on your Body Language
- Write a neat and clean Code.
- Don’t fear failures.
- Prepare Common Interview Questions.
