Recur Club Technologies Private Limited Interview Experience For SDET

I recently interviewed at Recur Club, a product-based fintech startup located at Bengaluru and Gurgaon. I have applied for the SDET Role for the Gurgaon Location. The interview process consisted of 4 rounds: an online test, and 2 technical rounds followed by an HR round.

Note: I have applied through LinkedIn and got a call from HR scheduling the Online Test.

Round 1: Online Test

This round contains a total of 6 sections such as Attention to Detail , Communication Skills, QA engineering, Computational Thinking and 2 more.

Each section consists of 22 questions and the total time given is 50 minutes I have scored more than 50% in each section after the result declaration.

After 2 days, HR called me and she told me she was scheduling my Technical Round 1 on Thursday and I said Okay.

Round 2: Technical Round

First of all, she asked my name and asked to give me a brief introduction of myself and my work experience at my current company.

Then she asked what type of product or project I had worked on and do my company follows Agile methodology.

After that, she asked me what type of functionalities you have tested and what tools I used during my automation testing.

Later she asked me what is the name of my client’s project and what the client is specialized in.

Then she asked questions like :

Then she told me to open notepad and share my screen and then she asked me to :

I somehow managed to tell every answer quickly but the fact is that I worked on my project 9 months ago and forgot everything but somehow I managed to answer all the questions.

Verdict: Rejected

I learnt these things from this rejection:

  1. Always try to revise things you have done previously. If you are trying to give a switch, please be ready for your current or past project experience with a lot of questions that can be asked.
  2. Don’t hesitate to interview and don’t become nervous. Be confident to give answers and always tell the truth about what you have done actually.
  3. Go through your resume that you have submitted for the job post or opening position.
  4. If you know the answer just tell and if you don’t know, just tell them that you don’t know the solution.
  5. Try to gain as much experience and as much learning as you can gain and try to learn each and everything because companies looking for candidates who not only specialized in specific fields but also they are looking for candidates who can work on other technologies also.
