Round 1: Online Test :
Platform: HackerEarth
Duration: 60 minutes
Difficulty Level: Medium-Hard
Details of Test/Modules: The format of the coding round was as follows
- 15 objective questions based on various computer science subjects
- 2 Coding questions
The objective questions were easy to interpret and solve, the coding questions, however, were more difficult and based on multiple concepts from Data Structures and Algorithms. The first coding question was based on stacks while the second question was based on graphs and disjoint sets.
Round 2: Technical interview:
Duration: approx. 20 min
Difficulty Level: Easy-Medium
Questions/Topics asked in Detail:
- The interview consisted of 2 coding questions which had to be explained, perform in a dry run and coded on paper.
- Spiral traversal of matrix
- Vertical level traversal of binary tree
- Apart from the questions, the interviewer asked questions from the resume including mentioned projects, technical domains, and preferences for working with technologies.
Round 3: Technical interview:
Duration: approx. 20 min
Difficulty Level: Easy-Medium
Questions/Topics asked in Detail: The round consisted of 6 DSA-based problems, two of which were to be explained and coded on paper while the rest 4 were just explained verbally. The questions which I was asked to code on paper were:
- Two sum problem
- Stock span problem
The questions which were to be answered verbally were:
- Given millions of data records of object type students in which name and age are the data members. What is the best time complexity to sort the data according to age given that there is no restriction on memory use?
- Find if a movie name consisted of at least 40% of words that are present in a given set of words.
Round 4: HR Interview:
Duration: approx. 15 min:
Difficulty Level: Easy
Questions/Topics asked in Detail:
- The questions asked were about personal preferences and personality.
- The round required a bit of thorough thinking and decision-making.
- The majority of questions consisted of questionnaires related to why you want to join the company,
- What are you willing to build,
- What excites you more and what would you do if you got another placement offer with a better package.
Personal Experience:
- The interview rounds after clearing the assessment were quite easy.
- The interviewers comforted all the applicants and also introduced themselves before starting the interview.
- The entire process took only 1 day, starting from 9:30 in the morning till the declaration of the results at midnight.
- Qualifying the assessment was the most difficult part of the entire process of the placement drive.
- The important topics that were questioned in the process were based on general data structures and algorithms, questions about topics like tries and count/bucket sorting.
