o9 Solutions visited our campus in September 2023. It had three rounds of testing – Resume Shortlisting, OT and Interview
It was open only for CSE and ECE Students and had a CGPA cut-off of 6.9 out of which nearly 65 people were shortlisted for OT.
OT consisted of MCQs on various topics like Aptitude, OS, CN, OOPS, DBMS, Output of given snippets of codes in various languages, and finally 2coding questions. I answered almost all the MCQs correctly and 1 coding question correctly with all testcases passed.
A total of 17 members were further shortlisted for the interview including me. Interviews are of 2 rounds and both technical.
Round-1
The interview lasted for 30min and they asked a wide variety of questions starting from :
- I had a DBMS Project about a real-estate agency in my resume, the interviewer asked me to explain that project and gave a few situations asking me to improve that project to fit those situations – Tried my level best to come up with a solution (But I think the way I explained my project impressed him a bit).
- What are ACID Properties in DBMS – Continuation question to correct my answer for one of the situations given in the above question?
- What are the main concepts of OOPS – Explained all the important concepts with examples.
- Asked more questions about inheritance and its types.
- What is a Pure Virtual Function?
- Search element in a rotated sorted array.
Basically, the interviewer wanted to cover all the topics that were mentioned in my resume so advice would be to perfect about the topics mentioned in your resume.
I was told that I was in for 2nd round after nearly 40min of completing of my 1st round.
A total of 7 students were shortlisted for 2nd round.
Round-2
The Interview is for 30 minutes.
- Write an SQL Query to print repeated values.
- Differences between HTML and HTML5.
- Remove duplicates in an array without using any of the predefined functions or data structures like maps, sets, or vectors.
Verdict: Selected.
