Nagarro Interview Experience For Software Engineer Trainee (On-Campus)

Hello everyone, I’m here to write about my Nagarro Interview Experience for the role of Software Engineer Trainee. I was in my final year of college when Nagarro came on campus in August for 2 roles.

There were total 3 rounds-

  1. Online Assessment
  2. Technical interview round
  3. HR round

Online Assessment

In Online Assessment (OA), there were some questions from the aptitude section and there we 2 coding questions. Both sections were in a single assessment only. Both sections have their separate time allotted. For aptitude, there was 1 hour with approximately 30-40 questions (I don’t remember the exact number of questions). For the coding section, 1:30 hours was allotted. For the aptitude section, the questions were easy to medium level. Most of them were easy.

For the coding section, 2 questions need to be solved in 90 minutes. One question was easy to level based on the array and the other one was a medium-level question based on the concept of the string.

Overall the Online Assessment was of medium level and one can easily crack this round by solving and practicing the question on coding platforms like Leetcode, GfG etc.

Technical Round

The very next day results of the Online Assessment came and I was selected for the next round which was the Technical Round. This round was scheduled one day after the results came. An online meeting link was sent from the respective person one day before. I revised the concepts of the DSA and other projects that I mentioned in my resume one day before.

The interview was scheduled for 10 AM. I joined the meeting 5 minutes before and was waiting for the interviewer. The interviewer came on time and asked me to introduce myself quickly. I introduced myself and he directly jumped to a technical question. The first question he asked me about the strings was quite simple. I gave him the naive approach first but he was not satisfied. Then I gave him the recursive solution on he asked me the time and space complexity of the approach. I told him the answer and he was satisfied. Then he went on to the next question which was based on the Linked List. The first one was to reverse a Linked List, then detect a loop in the linked list, then he gave me a few more operations to do on the Linked List. He was asking only approach and not the whole code to write. He then asked me 2-3 questions based on the simple C++ program output which was based on the OOPs concept. This interview was over after this.

The interviewer was very calm and provided hints whenever I was getting stuck. My piece of advice to tackle is to give and take the dummy interviews with your friends who are also preparing for the placements. This will improve your speaking ability in front of the interviewer.

HR Round

This round was very short and simple. The interviewer was asking the questions very quickly and I assume that she was checking the ability of the candidate how fast you can respond or how quickly you can deal with the situation. Then she asked some natural questions like where are you from, why do you want to join Nagarro, will you be able to relocate etc.

This round was very natural and you can sit in this round without any preparation for the technical portion (at least in my case I didn’t prepare the fro for technical part :D).

Final tips:

  1. Solve as many problems as you can on coding platforms like GfG, Leetcode etc.
  2. Do not hesitate to ask the interviewer if you are getting stuck somewhere.
  3. Do not mention anything in your resume that you don’t know about.
  4. Keep calm and be relaxed. Keep a water bottle near you while giving the interview.
