My Journey From Student to Mentor

From classes 1 to 5, I believed I was the top student in the world. As the class monitor, I was well-liked by every teacher and excelled in all areas. However, when my father was transferred and I changed schools, I realized I wasn’t the only one; there were many others like me. This realization initially sparked jealousy in me towards those who were ahead.

Despite this, my attitude remained unchanged until my father’s next transfer to Mumbai, which transformed my life completely. I began to understand that there’s always someone ahead, and this helped reduce my jealousy.

Now, I am a completely changed man who no longer feels jealousy towards anyone. My education across various schools, due to my father’s job in the central government, has shaped me into the best person to assist others with their education. I believe that the purpose of education is to create successful adults, not just the smartest students. It encompasses a variety of activities, including play, singing, dancing, and studying.

If you’re struggling with your studies, there are two things you can do in class:

  1. Always try to make eye contact with your teacher when they are explaining a concept.
  2. Refrain from taking on more than a student-like role.

I specifically learned the importance of these two aspects in class four, when a teacher emphasized their significance in a student’s life.
