Micturition – The process of Urination

On the planet Earth, every living thing excretes waste from their bodies and other sources in various ways. Excretion is a vital process that all living things must go through. It is the process that would be physiological by which the body rids itself of metabolic waste.

Micturition

Urine is excreted from the body during the micturition process. To remove waste from the body, both animals and humans have an organ system known as the excretory system. Micturition, in other terms, is the process of removing pee from the body. A urine bladder, a urethra, two kidneys, and ureters make up the human excretory system. Urine production and excretion are mostly regulated by the kidneys. The urinary bladder stores the produced pee.

Stages

It is of two stages: storage and the voiding stage

Storage

Urine is stored in the urinary bladder, a hollow, muscular structure with a balloon-like shape. In a urinary system that would be healthy, the urinary bladder may comfortably hold up to 16 ounces of pee for 2 to 5 hours. The muscles of the circular sphincter stop urine flow. They completely enclose the bladder’s opening into the urethra, which allows urine to exit the body.

Voiding stage

The nerves in the bladder are activated when it is full of urine, causing a urogenital desire. Urinary bladder contraction is signaled by the brain. The central nervous system receives a signal from the receptors in the bladder, and in response, now the signal would be sent by the nervous system that causes the bladder to contract. Micturition is the process of passing pee out of the urinary hole at the urethra. The micturition reflex is the name of the underlying brain process.

Frequently Asked Questions

Question 1: How does micturition can be managed?

Answer:

Muscles should have a muscle tone normal and the bladder should have a capacity normal.

Question 2: What is micturition?

Answer:

Excretion of the urine from the bladder of urinary and the Human would have a system called the excretory system through which waste should be eliminated.

Question 3: What is meant by the phase of storage?

Answer:

The urinary bladder’s ability to store urine defines the storage phase. The muscles of the circular sphincter are in charge of the movement.

Question 4: What is meant by the phase of voiding?

Answer:

The brain supposedly sends impulses to start peeing until the bladder is empty during the voiding phase.

Question 5: Problems that would be relatable to micturition?

Answer:

Detrusor instability is a condition in which the detrusor muscle spontaneously contracts. The bladder is contracted by this muscle, which also aids in the micturition process. Urinary incontinence is the outcome of detrusor instability.

Question 6: Which thoracic segment injury causes damage to the micturition process? Why?

Answer:

Damage at the T10 would lead to bladder overactivity because it causes urine incontinence and the bladder would be overactive.
