For the batch 2022 onwards we had two different sections:

One for cars-MBRDI(Mercedes-Benz Research And Development India)

Other for Trucks-DTICI(Daimler Trucks Innovation Center India)

Number of Rounds: 3 rounds

Round 1 (Online Test) ( Medium level ):

Round 1 (Assessment) Aptitude questions are of type Verbal, Quantitative & Logical reasoning questions along with branch-specific questions like coding MCQs and mathematics (for CSE).

The questions were divided into:

15 Aptitude, 5 Verbal, and 20 technical MCQs.

For example, a Simple piece of code is given and we have to find the right output among the given options.

All together 40 questions in 60 mins.

Round 2- Technical Interview (medium level but depends on the panel)(1 member in the panel)(30 min):

Initially, we started with a casual talk on problems faced during Online classes, and covid situation, and so on. (2-3 min)

Then the interviewer saw my resume and started asking some questions.

Most of the time technical interview depends on the candidate’s resume.

If the panel finds the resume strong and unique then the questions will be based on the skills and projects mentioned in the resume else the questions will be on core CS concepts(Coding, DSA, DB, OS, SE, Cloud).

My resume was based on Machine Learning and I also did my internship (training from Internshala) on the same. They interviewed me with basic to medium-level questions on ML.

Some questions that were asked:

Explain ML in Brief.(detailed explanation for 5 mins)

Basic algorithms. (5 mins)

Internship & project (5 mins)

How you can implement your ML knowledge in our company. (5 mins)

At the end, he asked me some basic questions on Java, C, and DS like:

(no coding only theoretical questions).

This round lasted about 30 mins and it was easier than I expected.

My suggestion would be:

Have strong fundamentals of your domain and know all your projects well.

Round 3- Managerial + HR

It may be 50% technical or 50% HR or both depending on the panelist.

Then,

He asked me to solve 2 logical questions(5 min)

i. Number series question: Given a series of 4 numbers, I had to find the 5th and 6th number(easy)

ii. Letter series question; Given a series of 3, I had to find 4rd and 5th letter(medium)

After solving these, he asked me to explain the solution in detail and further asked me to find a general formula to solve the first problem(same number series question) (2-3 min).

Last 5 min we discussed:

My suggestion would be:

But unfortunately, I didn’t clear final round and but it was a good interview experience.

How to Prepare for MBRDI:

Good Luck. And be confident during the Interview. Sending You all Good Wishes. ALL THE BEST.
