College Experience:
I am a girl from a remote village, where going out for her higher education is considered a flaw. My big father was Educated he actually knows how society looks at a girl. They always try to mislead her by commenting on her and spreading false information to her family. As my sisters are currently making their careers in the IT Field they started advising me to take the Computer Science branch in my B.Tech. Actually, I am an “Introvert”. I like giving company for myself. I still remember 22 August the day for the first time I visited my college to take my admission. The day went on for making the admission and hostel room booking. I was afraid a lot because it was a new place and even didn’t know anyone. Even the hostels are full. For 2-3 days I spent in the hall. Then I met a girl who is from a medical background. The day we started to share the bed, till today we sharing it. Actually, she is older than me.
Then we are permanently shifted to a room, where we meet our “Friendly Seniors”. From 27 our classes started. I was very scared. Actually, there is a funny incident in that I found a name that was exactly the reverse of my name. I was excited to see her. I met her. I met two people in the class now they are very close to my heart. I want them to be in my life forever and ever. We 3 are from different places about our minds are the same. We make funny jokes about others. Our Campus is very big. I even only one block for the starting one week “F Block”. I used to go to college alone and return back to the hostel alone. The first event I went is the “Swara” where our seniors did it amazingly. As the classes are going I started to speak with the people in the class. The Faculty was amazing. They teach us everything not only related to the course but also about life.
As the days pass finally the day had arrived when I need to give a seminar on any topic. I chose “Agriculture” as my father was a “Farmer”. I was very excited to tell about my father and at the same time very nervous to give a seminar in front of a huge crowd. Finally, I did it. I was very happy to know even my faculty was also a farmer. The first fest in our college is organized by the Agriculture Department. I didn’t know what it is exactly. So I went to my room and started watching the movie with my fellows. From the day we started to watch movies till now we three sit together and chill ourselves.
We Bare Beers:
We discuss everything, we tease each other we make jokes about our classmates. As the days pass we are done with our first semester. We are back to our native places. We made crazy memories. We spent quality time with our families. The saddest part is the last holiday is my Birthday. Our hearts are filled with a lot of happiness, Excitement for the begging of the new semester. All our friends are divided like we are in different sections. Even I didn’t do my registration, it was done by someone. For the first two weeks, I was like feeling I am in a new place where I didn’t know anyone. Slowly I started to realize that I need to change.
Then I found people who are having different cultures, mindsets, the way of behaving. I made many crazy memories. We bunked many classes. Exam tension, One-night bating to get more marks in exams. Home Outing, Permissions from Parents, Wardens. Alone Travelling with my Bears. Hope to make many crazy memories and learn many things for life. Hope to be back here one more time.
