IBS Interview Experience (On-Campus)

IBS Software came to our college and the recruitment process of IBS Software was a part of our on-campus drive.

SELECTION PROCESS:

There was an online test that had three sections –

  1. Logical and Aptitude
  2. Verbal
  3. Computer Science.

I gave the test and my name was shortlisted.

Then we got the dates of the interview. It was an offline interview conducted in our college.

  1. First of all, I was asked about my Final Year Project.
  2. The interviewer wanted to know the brief of my project
  3. What makes my project unique?
  4. Why I chose the particular topic.
  5. What particular functions do I use in the project?

As it was my first offline interview I got nervous in the beginning and fumbled a little bit but then I got the confidence. Then I was asked about all the certifications I had mentioned in my resume. Then I was given a code to write. He gave me my language preference and I wrote the code in C++. After writing the code he asked me to explain what I had done. So I started to explain and I realized I had made a small mistake which I rectified. Then he gave me two SQL queries to write. I was able to write one of them and the other one I couldn’t write. After that, he started with puzzles and riddles. He asked me 3 puzzle questions and I answered each of them.

Then he asked one question from OOPS. And I was asked to wait for the results. When the results came I was shortlisted for HR Round.

HR Round was a sort of interaction round. I first introduced myself. Then he asked why I wanted to work with them. He then introduced me to a little bit of the work culture at IBS. Then there were some more questions like how long I worked with them, am I mentally prepared or not. Then after two days, final result came out.

I got selected.
