On 2 Nov, Hewlett Packard Enterprise GlobalSoft Pvt. Ltd. visited our college for an internship. The internship is of 6 months duration.
On 1st November, Hewlett Packard Enterprise visited my college campus for recruitment.
The hiring process had 4 parts in it-
ROUND 1(ONLINE ROUND): The test was divided into 3 sections-
- Section 1(20 Aptitude questions -> Difficulty level: Medium): Quantitative, Logical Reasoning, Error correction, Time & work, Age problems, and Probability finding questions were there.
- Section 2(30 Technical questions -> Difficulty level: High): Questions from Networking, OS, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Big data, Computer Architecture were there.
- Section 3(Coding questions -> Difficulty level: Easy): After this round, only 3 students went ahead for interviews out of the total of 450 students. And I was lucky that I was selected for further rounds.
ROUND 2(TECHNICAL ROUND): In this round the questions were based on my resume and my technical background. The questions were as follows:
- What all programming languages you are aware of.
- Explain me about Object Oriented Programming Concepts.
- Tell about Keys concepts in DBMS.
- Tell about pointers.
- Asked about ACID properties of DBMS.
- What do you know about NORMALIZATION.
- Explain me about MODEM.
- (This question was tricky ) If your system or laptop’s sound is not functioning properly what will you do? (Luckily, I was able to give correct answer)
- What do you about Networking.
After 3 days, we got the results, and I was selected for further rounds.
ROUND 3(MANAGERIAL ROUND): As I was shortlisted for this, one thing that was different for this role was that Managerial Round was more like a Technical Interview.
Questions asked were:
- Introduction in brief
- The interviewer asked me about my interest in Networking subject. I answered that I love to know about what is going on behind the scene when I type www.google.com.
- Asked about Network topologies.
- Tell about Encapsulation.
- Tell about Memory leakage.
- What would you prefer Hard work or Smart work.
ROUND 4(HR ROUND): Firstly, the interviewer congratulated me for clearing all the rounds and asked me about those experiences, then coming to the questions he asked the following:
- Introduce yourself in details.
- Tell me about your strengths and weaknesses.
- Asked about my project.
- What was your contribution towards the project.
- How would you see yourself in 10 years.
- Do you have any questions for us.
Then we had a discussion about my role and the day-to-day responsibilities.
After 10 days, the results were announced and I got selected for the Intern + Full-time role. And I was glad that I was the only one girl from the entire group of institutions to get selected.
