A free and open-source audio player is Clementine. Amarok 1.4 has been ported to the Qt 4 and GStreamer multimedia frameworks. It is offered for Windows, macOS, and Unix-like operating systems. The GPL 3.0 or later is the license that governs the release of Clementine. Clementine was developed as a result of Amarok’s upgrade from version 1.4 to version 2, as well as the associated focus change that many users found objectionable. Clementine’s initial version was released in February 2010. Clementine’s most recent stable release was in 2016, although since then, development has resumed on GitHub, with a number of release candidate versions being made available.
